
South Carolina State, under head coach Chennis Berry at 2-0 picked up 12 first place votes and 128 points to make a statement and remain number one in the Major Division.
The Tigers of Jackson State clawed their way into second with 80 points. Alabama State slips to number three with 76 points, Prairie View A&M with 1 first place vote and 68 points retreats to the fourth spot, and Delaware State who picked up 26 points is still buzzing at number five in the Major Division.

Meanwhile, the Tigers of Benedict garnered 11 first place votes and 122 points to remain steadfast at the top spot in this week’s Mid-Major Division. Virginia State nabs 2 first place votes and gathers 62 points to claim the number two spot. Johnson C. Smith is third with 56 points. Edward Waters is fourth with 46 points and Fayetteville State has 42 points to round out the top five.
