Alabama A&M and Langston garner top spots in HBCU-PSMA week three football polls
Coach Connell Maynor and his Alabama A&M Bulldogs hold the number one ranking in the HBCU-Pro Sports Media Association Black College Football Poll for the third consecutive week.
The Bulldogs are followed by Jackson State, North Carolina Central, Prairie View A&M and Arkansas Pine-Bluff roundingout the top five. Hampton University, Alcorn State, Florida A&M, Southern University and North Carolina A&T complete the top ten in the Major Division.
Meanwhile, for the third straight week there is a new number one in the Mid-Major Division. Coach Quinton Morgan and his Lions of Langston University received eight first place votes in the Mid-Major Division poll. Last week’s number one team, the Golden Rams of Albany State, garnered three first-place votes slipping to the number two spot in this week’s poll. Bowie State, Savannah State and Benedict College round out the top five. Lane University, Miles College, Fayetteville State, Bluefield State and Allen University close out the top ten of the Mid-Major Division.
